Simple Vibration Raising Exercise!

In this post, I am going to share with you a simple and incredibly powerful process that will help you raise your vibration. First I will share with you why it is so important to deliberately effect your own vibration and then we'll jump right in so that you can experience the power of this process on your own!

Law of Attraction says that whatever we choose to focus upon expands in our experience. We create our reality by the vibration that we emit, and every single thought and feeling has a specific frequency of vibration. When we perpetually think thoughts of a low vibration (guilt, shame, anger, fear, etc) our overall vibrational output to the Universe is low and we attract more of the same into our lives. Instead, if we think consistent thoughts of a higher frequency (love, joy, passion, eagerness) then we raise our own vibration and attract more of the same into our personal experiences. Most people let their thoughts "think them." In other words, they are not aware of the vibration that they are offering. When you decide to deliberately guide your feelings and the essence of your thoughts to a better feeling place (a higher frequency), then you will be amazed by the evidence of your raised vibration all around you. You will attract more positive rendezvous with strangers, happier conversations with loved ones, more stimulating and peaceful environments, and just a greater sense of ease and clarity throughout your day.

The concept of raising our own vibration may seem foreign and challenging to many people who are not used to the idea, but I promise it is a whole lot easier than it sounds. It does not take much time or effort at all, just a willingness to try and a desire to feel good! Law of Attraction teacher, Abraham Hicks, has said that it only takes 17 seconds of purely focussing on the essence of something you desire to attract more momentum to the thought, and only 68 seconds to begin seeing manifestational evidence of it in your life. The operative word here is "purely" focusing. So often we think of something we want, and then immediately begin thinking of all of the reasons we can not have what we desire, which just throws resistance into the mix and lowers our vibration. When you allow yourself to purely offer thought for 17 seconds, often the first evidence is an improvement in the way we feel. As you consistently practice this, your tangible reality will begin to shift around you to match your newly raised vibration. The only way to believe this is to prove it to yourself, so let's try it!

All you need for this exercise is a pen and 2 sheets of paper, as well as 20 minutes of uninterrupted quiet time. What you are going to do is start by asking yourself this question: "How would I like to feel right now, and often in my experience?"

Then you are going to take your first piece of paper and write down all of the emotions that you can possibly think of to answer this question, but not just in a random way. You are going to go through the alphabet, and starting with A, write down all of the A words you can think of that you would want to feel right now and more often in your experience. For instance, "acceptance, aliveness, awareness, appreciation...etc." Once you have exhausted your A words, you will move onto B, then C, then D, all the way through until Z. (You have to get a little creative on X, Y and Z!) Now the key to really raising your vibration with this process is to really allow yourself to FEEL each emotion that you write down. Really think about how it would feel to feel "fun, fabulous, free, fulfilled"...etc. Remember, the Law of Attraction does not respond to your words, but to your vibration that you're emitting. The words are just tools to help focus our minds. Our thought patterns are often very erratic, and writing is one of the most powerful methods for deliberately focussing our mind.

Once you come to the end of the alphabet then you are going to look back through your list and select one word from each letter and rewrite it on the second sheet of paper. Again, as you write down your chosen words really tune into the feeling of the word, repeatedly asking yourself questions such as, "how would it feel to have more (blank) in my life?" or "what would it be like if I felt (blank) in my experience more often?"

This simple process can be repeated as often as you want to practice raising your vibration. See if you can come up with more and more words each time through! I will be sharing my list with you in the next blog. I find that it is most effective to do this process when I'm in a neutral place, so either first thing in the morning, after a nap, or maybe after a work out or yoga practice. You don't want to sit down and try to force yourself into a higher vibration after being in a fight or feeling stressed out after work. In those cases, it's best to just take a nap or go on a walk to release the steam :-)

As always, and most importantly, have fun with this! Fun is one of the highest vibrations that exists in the Universe, so the more fun and light-heartedness you put into it, the more you will benefit from this simple process!
