Deliberate Decision-Making

We all know that we have choices to make throughout our day. What some of us may not know, is that we have a powerful level of control over the outcome of these decisions. Your experience is NOT a result of the decision you have made, but rather it is dependent upon the intent and reason behind making the choices that you have made. Let me clarify this with an example:
Let's say you are eating out at a new restaurant with some friends. After dinner the waiter offers you the dessert menu. Since you have never eaten here before, you decide it would be fun to see what dessert is like at this restaurant. You are curious to taste something new, so you order a treat off of the menu. Your energy is one of interest, excitement, and eagerness! In this case, your experience will be a rewarding one, to match the high vibration that you are bringing to the choice that you have made.
Now let's take a different angle on the story. Again you are out to eat at a restaurant with friends. After dinner the waiter hands you the dessert menu, and you say something along the lines of "After such a terrible day at work, I deserve a piece of chocolate cake!" In this scenario, you have made a choice out of a lower vibration. While the cake may satisfy your temporary craving, chances are pretty good that you are not going to enjoy the experience as much as in the first scenario. You may even feel guilty or mad at yourself later for making the decision to order the dessert.
Today no matter where you are, no matter who you are with, and no matter what you are doing, be deliberate in the energy and intention that you bring to the choices you make in any moment. See if you can bring a level of consciousness to your decisions, and in doing so, witness how it impacts the resulting experiences.
If you are confronted with a challenging scenario where a decision is necessary in the moment, but bringing a vibration of excitement does not feel possible, then follow the path of least resistance. In other words, given your options, choose the choice that feels the MOST allowing, even if it is not as high-flying as you would hope. Once you have done that, feel appreciation and confidence in your ability to consciously make a decision, even in the face of a challenging situation. By immediately complimenting yourself in the moment, you are raising your vibration, because appreciation and praise are exceedingly high-vibrating emotions.
What kind of energy do you want to bring to your decision-making more often? Do you want to feel excited and eager? Maybe you want to intend adventure and spontaneity? Or maybe you want to bring a feeling of fun and free-spiritedness to your choices? By practicing deliberate decision-making a little bit more every day, you will be amazed to observe your experiences transforming, and you will feel enlivened and empowered in the creative control you have over your day. As always, have fun with this!
Wishing you all love and light :-)
